"I loved being able to see the progression of writing in the general education classrooms. I see the progression in my pullout groups, but what I do is so different since I see my students only once a week for such a short timeframe. "
"Refresher helps, since the start to the year is a bit overwhelming, which makes it difficult to digest all that is presented in August."
"Time to interact and plan!"
"Time to talk things through was helpful"
"having planning time with my team "
"Having time in the afternoon to work was great. If we don't get that time, it's much more difficult to implement anything."
"I do feel better about the whole writing process. The QSSSA was hard to listen to for the whole time. "
"Meeting as a team with Emily and Heidi S was relevant to our TK program and the information that we received was useful and helped us understand the program better."
"I appreciate how Lisa & Anayssa held this workshop. It helped me, as a teacher who moved to a new grade level, understand what the expectation is for writing at the Kindergarten level. I appreciate their willingness to meet with all grades K-6 within the district to help us get the ball rolling in terms of writing. We, as a district, have been lacking guidance in writing, and this is an amazing step into the right direction. Thank you, Lisa & Anayssa. :-) "
"Music team applying knowledge to our content area."

"Please have a different workshop/ meeting for specialist like intervention and hi cap. We don’t use the writing routine,QSSSA. We have set curriculum We are told to use and we sit through mandatory training where most/ if not all the training doesn’t apply to us. It felt like a lot was very beneficial for grade levels but none of it applies to us as specialist. The other PALM specialist had their own trainings and we felt their time was valued. We feel like ours just gets clumped in with everyone else. Please take us into consideration when creating these professional development days. "
"It would be nice to have all the PD days match this outline - beneficial day"
" The QSSSA is just GLAD with a new name and that is just sad...."
"Don't forget teacher autonomy is required for teachers to feel job satisfaction. There is more than one specific way to implement state standards, if someone has writing strengths or idiosyncrasies, they should be celebrated, not frowned upon as being slightly different. "
"Giving us a menu of strategies we'd like to learn more about and hosting PD sessions based on interest. "
"More differentiation for grade levels/ experience levels with teaching."
"I think it would be great to have leaders for grade levels have break outs. I'm also not sure that 2nd grade should be part of the 3-5 group."
"This day, although a good refresher, was not beneficial to my position. I will not be able to use very much of what was addressed in the course in my position."

"Thank you, Kelsey Lodge, for leading our meeting. "
"I thought the part of QSSSA was very sad...it is all GLAD strategies, you guys just gave it a new name and acted like we are not already doing all of that. I was heartbroken for the GLAD team that we no longer have and it is such a shame. "
"I was disappointed when it was said that we weren't learning anything new today. I was hoping for being broken out by grade level to get work done instead of reviewing everything from August. "
