"Tom spoke from the heart and was inspiring, even with a heavy topic. I appreciated James and his thoughts around belonging and building trust. Solo cup activity was fun. Enjoyed The Boy, the Mole, the Fox & the Horse conversations. "

"Break apart the 'sit and get'/listening portions. Both mornings were a lot of consecutive information with no processing time. Model good instruction (10:2 - ten minutes max of input and two minutes of some kind of processing or output). Consider alternative space that allows for stronger collaborative structures. The board room feels cramped, we can't see each other, etc. The 'agreements' we generated with James should be revisited and discussed again. Do they capture what our group needs to move forward? "
"More fun activities"
"More time to process with less content"
"I always appreciate having more frequent breaks instead long periods of sit & get. "
"Too much sit and get. Felt a bit discombobulated at times with all of the different people presenting. Didn't feel in sync. "
"The tone and momentum from the first day was not present in the second day's activities. We all LOVED the book we were given and would have appreciated time to share and discuss. We really could have used time to process and discuss after each presenter on the second day. "

"James is a good guy. But his afternoon time was difficult at best and not a good use of our time. "
"There was a lot of information and added responsibilities delivered to admin with no time to process and very little time to ask questions. It would be helpful when given responsibilities to also have examples of templates or what it should look like included. "

"Would it be possible to have a larger leadership group provide input and planning for the admin advance? These additional perspectives might help with ensure that all leaders have take away experiences that align with what presenters are hoping for. I would be willing to provide additional feedback in a two way conversation if that was something you all wanted. Josh Eidson"

"Thank you! "
"Thank you!"
"Great job everyone!"
"I felt there was significant disconnect between the first day, which focused on teamwork and support, and the second day, which felt like it was a series presenters telling principals additional responsibilities we are going to have to take on in addition to the already significant hurdles we are facing this year. I understand the need for additional responsibilities. However, there was very little tone of support or acknowledgement of the context of the difficulties ahead carried over from the first day of trainings. I’m hopeful the efforts of the amazing book we read, push for “We Got Us” mentality, and amount of caring from the Superintendent and Directors shown on the first day works its way into practice moving forward. I truly appreciate everyone’s work and efforts. "

"Thank you for your time and energy put into these days. I know the planning side of things takes a significant amount of time. I appreciated our time with James but it felt like we ended our time unfinished. He said "now go out and do it" but I was lost on what we were doing. "
"Thank you! "
