"Give buildings the opportunity to discuss the challenges that they see and the opportunity to create a game plan all together for how to address such challenges. It felt like administration dismissed all our concerns and needs to get through the agenda assigned by the district. I love the bringing back of SEL but allow us to have the difficult conversations along with the SEL modules. Understand that we need the time to process and address daily struggles to become better educators for our students."
"The afternoon group with math was difficult to follow with so many participants. The games were hard to follow and apply the directions. So practicing was difficult. "
"I would suggest working on the pacing. Some games/activities were rushed to fast, my table group was lost. However, other games were simpler and we spent way too much time on it that interest decreased. "

"Please provide our math training in the mornings, and I hope we can do it with grade bands."

"Have the SEL focused training earlier in the year."

"When will be given paid-time to address these difficult conversations that have been lingering around us for the past three years? When will we have some support from the district to address the changes that need to happen to best support the social-emotional trauma our students have undergone?"
"During the first training she mentioned that we were going to be learning about fluency and how to check if a student was fluent in math. After the second training with her, I learned different activities to show fluency, but I am still left curious with how you would assess it. Especially if we are asked to assess fluency for report cards. What is the best approach to collect that data that is not just game based? "

"Are we receiving more SEL training/support throughout the school year?"

"Thank you for bringing back the SEL topic. I would appreciate more professional development in this area. If we do not master this area, our students will not have the success we want them to have in academic areas. "
"We always seem to run out of time when we are giving planning time. I would suggest a morning training and an afternoon time to work on implementing the morning's training. Also, with report cards needing to be completed, I think teachers were not fully engaged in the trainings because of so many other things that need to get done. Another date for training or allowing us to use the day for records would have been and option to relieve some of the stress on teachers. "
"Thanks!!"
"Next year, can we have a PD training NOT on the day after P/T conferences? Thank you"
"None at this time."
"The morning time at the building digging into SEL was great! more time is needed to make plans and discuss possible implementation of practices. The afternoon Math session was not a good use of time. The directions for 2 out of the 3 games we played were unclear. It was frustrating and the physical layout of the room didn't allow for access to the presenter (to get clarification on tasks). Group engagement seemed low, so it was challenging to remain connected. "
