"Breaking down teaching standards"
"The handouts for everyone helped with visibility of content. "
"Great engagement and interactions with others"
"The ability to learn/problem solve/ask advice with other SLPs who have expertise in a variety of areas (AAC, bilingual English-Spanish evaluations, preschool). . "
"I thought it was a good training. I really enjoyed getting to meet with the K-12 PE team."
"The amount of time we had to actually do the work was great. Amber's presentation was also appreciated. It fit the time well and modeled effective teaching strategy. The forms for unwrapping standards will help all of us going forward but will be especially valuable to new teachers."
"Allowed time to work together"
"Time to work on plc teams"
"Thank you to Trisha for allowing us to meet as an SLP group with an agenda that pertained and helps us in our specific role as SLPs. That time is invaluable to me! "
"Applicable to PLC"
"For the first time in many years, there was actually a professional development opportunity that applied to the librarians. The School Library Inservice Training Day put on by the Washington State Library was very good. The sessions topics were relevant and the information shared will be applicable to my librarian position. "
"Very organized"

"More time that PLCs could work and come back with questions and follow up to assure understanding "
"More activities involving content learning."
"Tech is a problem in the commons so getting that sorted for the future would be helpful. "
"I don't have any suggestions to make."
"Build scales before setting goals in future."
"Amber Birks met with the math department in 2 separate 45 min sessions to present the work that would be done on Oct 14. I believe the idea was to present the information ahead of time and give us more time to complete the work on Oct 14, but the directions ahead of time were unclear and we struggled to navigate the tasks assigned to us and had no one to reach out to for guidance on the day of. It would have been really helpful to have a point person in each PLC that had walked through this process with Amber in more detail so we could be better prepared for this work."
"Have more examples for High School Math"
"It would be helpful for these strategies to be applied to the subjects we treach; Art, Music, P.E. CTE. Show us examples. "
"Please allow PT, OT, and SLP groups to come together in their own groups during these days in the future. "
"Perhaps a more clear explanation of "Boulders" and "Rocks." Another teacher and I had different perspectives of what was meant by "Boulders." One of us thought it meant things we wanted the children to learn. The other thought it meant restrictions/expectations placed on us by the district or state. I realize they could be the same thing, but not necessarily."
"Next time allow the librarians to attend the entire library training day. The 2 hour PLC training at the beginning of the day was not very useful, and we missed a keynote session on the library training. "
"There was a lot of work meant to be done in the time allotted. "
"skip the partnering stuff, we're teachers and adults, not children"

"It was a successful PD day."

"Thank you to Trisha Craig for allowing us to work on things that were meaningful to use and will help us do our jobs better. "
"The time consuming data collection required in order to have good conversations in PLC is making it even harder for me to keep up with the grading that's needed to give students timely feedback. This is a serious problem for me. The fact that high school teachers often work in multiple PLC teams, is also problematic from the standpoint of time needed to be effective in this work and our other work too. "
"The majority of the afternoon work on fluency in mathematics seemed geared toward elementary math and not relevant to high school. I think it is an important concept at the high school level as well but needs to be more appropriately addressed. "
"None."
"I'm hoping the Washington State Library puts on another training next year. It is so helpful to have trainings that are specific to librarians. "
"I did a training similar to this one, but more advanced so the material was definitely review. I could have benefiting to do work on my own PLC goals instead."
"Being a new teacher here in the school district it has been difficult to wrap my mind around PLC's and the Continuous Improvement Cycle. It would have been nice prior to the school year to have some of this training ahead of time so that once the school year starts and PLC teams are meeting that I could bring something to the team and not trying to comprehend and catch up on what is going on.
