"This year, I finished my training a day before the deadline then heard nothing about when I could evaluate so I could receive my clock hours. I talked to a few people in the district office but no one seemed to know that the evaluation of the course would be after Dec. 31. Better communication is needed. Last year also, the course information said the course closed on Dec 31st, so I didn't worry about getting it done by parent-teacher conference time. Then my administrator told me it had to be finished by the last day of parent-teacher conference week or else. She told me even though the deadline was Dec 31st, because I had been "given" time to do the training, I HAD TO be finished by the next day. The"given" time had been taken by multiple IEPs/evaluation meetings and conference meetings which I had no control in scheduling. So if the deadline is going to be forced to be at the end of parent-teacher conference week, don't say the ending deadline is Dec 31st. Because I got stuck in the middle between my administrator's demands and course requirements. "

"Some people have way different amounts of work they have to do during conference week. I had to have conference during my "safeschools" time while other teachers in my school had no conference the entire week. The more equity the better I would say for when we give "safeschools" time. Conferences can be overwhelming to some and the easiest week of the year for others."

"It would be more interesting if we could not watch the same videos each year.(if there is a different one on the same topic to change it up a bit)"

"Perhaps link the courses to staff email (or google form) so we are able to fill out an evaluation form-or know that there is one?"
"Send it earlier in Summer"
"I'd like the option to speed up the speed of the talking. I listen to books at a much faster speed. This speed is painful."

"Better videos and increase the pace. I learn quickly and i found it tedious to wait for the time to elapse when I had already finished reading all the content on the slides"
"It no longer feel relevant to me, as a 20+ year instructor."

"Could we take the test prior to having to watch the same information every year that will allow us to skip the same content we get every year? "
"N/A"
"Some topics need more updated information"
"Make sure staff is aware that they need to actually sign up for this course as a WSD PD course so that they can evaluate and get clock hours. I did the majority of this course in August, and completed the additional material when added. But made the incorrect assumption that my invitation to access this course also signed me up for it in PD."

"We are told that we have time set aside during the start-up days or during parent-teacher conference week, however with my job in special ed, I often have meetings scheduled for me during those times, so I have to do this training on my own time. I would like the opportunity to timesheet these trainings that I have to do on my own time. "
"I am grateful that clock hours can be awarded for these! Happy New Year"

"Some of these training modules have been exactly the same for many years. It'd be a good instructional practice to include a pre-assessment, which would allow staff (who can demonstrate proficiency) to compact out of the training. Perhaps a separate training could be available to teach staff any new information. (Just my $0.02.) Thank you."
"It seems employees could do this training every other year since it is repeated information that we do over and over every year. If there is new info or training, it could be beneficial to have employees just do those new parts in the "off" years."
"Nice job getting it updated to mirror current health concerns "
"This year's. COVID training felt like a hoop through which I was required to jump. It felt like a waste of my time."
"See above. Thank you to the tech folks who reopened the opportunity to evaluate and collect my clock hours for my coursework in Safe Schools :)"
