"Personable instructor"
"Appreciated that the teacher reminded people that just because kids can speak social English pretty well they still have huge gaps with academic English."

"This Course was not beneficial to my job title, The information presented wasn't able to be connected to my job working with a non-verbal student set in their ways when they get to the high school level. The presenter said it could possibly apply but had no strong ways or examples for me to connect it to my current job assignments. Overall this was a waste of an hour, a Teacher READING a slide show to competent adults that all can read for 45 minutes with no breaks is not an effective teaching strategy John Hattie, suggests a good ratio of the student's age to 2 minutes, with a maximum time of talking set at 15 minutes for adults before a break. I would hope that teachers that have to continue education and highly educated when they start teaching would know this. Overall the instruction and content of this course were poor for my job assignments. I also don't see how I could apply this unless I was specifically an ELL para or in and ELL support role "
"We had just learned in the class before that an instructor should teach for a max of 15 minutes with 2 minute processing time. So i feel like I didn't get much out of the class. The other issue that I had was that I told her before class started that I worked with a student that is non verbal but english is the only language spoken and she said the information would still pertain and I do not feel like it did at all, because it was only about ELL students "
"The class was boaring and hard to follow. "

"The hour allowed for the training was not long enough for the instructor. I felt like she had more information that would have been useful for the classroom!"
