Strengths:
Responses: 6"This was a great refresher on the writing process. "
"Going over the writing expectations were helpful. Working in the PLC WAS THE BEST. This is what we need more of, less of job alike and slide decks of info we already know. "
"Great writing process examples"
"This was an excellent workshop. Thank you for allowing elementary art specialists to gain knowledge on how to care for our kilns. This workshop was one of the most valuable I have had in the district. This hands-on opportunity answered so many questions and was vital for improving our clay teaching practice. More please!"
"Great examples to see, time to connect and plan"
"PLC with my team"
Suggestions:
Responses: 6"We used to be able to have trainings of this size in the main boardroom at the DO with it opened up. The seating would be far more comfortable there."
"give team planning time back at buildings earlier instead of all in one room due to noise it was really hard to hear each other and stay focused"
"Not always a popular activity - moving around the room to partner up, especially in tight quarters. "
"Grouping this many teachers in a small space does not work! Treating teachers as young students is very condescending. Having to group in A/B partners and do hand gestures needs to be saved for students in classrooms... "
"While the training was good, I felt a little overwhelmed with everything else we have going. I heard the same comments from other teachers as well. I also wish there was a different location that could be utilized for these trainings. The sound in the cafeteria is not good for me at least."
"Having the training in the morning instead of PM and PLC in the PM vs the morning. "
Questions:
Responses: 1"None"
Comments:
Responses: 3"The comments are not directed at presenters, more at the organization of the day. "
"I just wanted to thank the district for giving K-5 music the time to align our curriculum and grading to the new semester grading model. This was the most productive meeting I've had in a very long time! Having this long, uninterrupted chunk of time to really delve into our curriculum was super useful, especially with so many newer music teachers on the team. "
"I only attended the morning part of the training which was PD with my team. I wish the writing portion of the training would have been in the morning so that we could come back to our PLC's and work after not before especially k-1. I also feel that this year the load is much more heavier with being on overload in my classroom 25 students and some with major behavior. Your teachers are exhausted. Mental sick day without having to write sub plans was more ideal for some of us. "
