In this professional development we’ll dive into the language levels of our students and build skills using tiered questioning, resources such as ELAchieve, sentence stems, and DOK to increase the cognitive complexity of our questioning while supporting the language proficiency growth of students.

The session includes interaction and practice, practice, practice!

We’ll utilize the ELAchieve cards during our discussions related to an article, write sentence stems and questions using DOK/language proficiency levels for upcoming lessons, and shift perspectives to see through the lens of language learners.
